Bed sore mattresses are intended for use by patients, elderly and the physically-disabled who are confined to bed for extended periods of time. The mattress supports the reduction of pressure created by regular contact with the mattress which can cause pressure ulcers and bed sores.
Bed sore mattresses support the distribution of pressure exerted by sensitive areas in the body that are prone to bed sores. The even distribution of body pressure upon the interior of the mattress area lowers the chances of developing pressure ulcers. The mattress is electrically-operated.
